So I bought a war paint scoly a couple months ago. I noticed these rubbery structures that look like a tube worm or feather duster tube of some kind….only visible at night when the scoly is all shriveled up. During the day, when the scoly is puffed up, it is completely hidden under the flesh.

Have not noticed anything poking out or any mucus since I got it, but it does appear like it might have grown

just a smidge. To be honest I think it is pretty unique, but want to know if we can ID this and confirm that there isn’t anything nasty waiting to get out of it. IMG_9195.jpeg

vermetid snails. They are a pest. Try to crush the whole shell or super glue over it
I have had and dealt with a vermetid before, and the tell tale sign was stringy mucus like a web being spewn out. Don’t see any of that here. Still think it is one?
