I have a new 90 gallon tank. Most of the tank is dry rock and sand. There is one piece of pre cycled media and some live sand that I used to seed bacteria.

When the tank is going to finishes cycling, I’m going to add a pair of clowns and a red legged hermit, who can eat any uneaten food. The rest of the clean up crew will start coming once I see signs of the uglies beginning.

I’m wondering, what are some good corals that will do well in a tank that is definitely not mature? I want some simple corals, soft and maybe LPS, that are easy to take care of and will give the tank a bit of life while I let it mature.

I’m a brand new reefer. I don’t want anything that’s going to take over my tank.

I attached a picture below of the tank to give people an idea of where the rocks are and what can go there. Currently I have only one light. My LFS is waiting to get a restock.

Candy canes for sure! Hammers, mushrooms, zoas, are all fairly easy to keep, they grow fast and are excellent color pop! Later down the line, montipora digitata, or Anacropora would look good on your higher rock work, and they are an easy sps to keep in comparison to some others
