I was noticing that my skimmer wasn't producing its usual cup every couple of days so I knew it was time.
Today Sump Day, I cleaned the ATS, ATS light that had salt creep on it, skimmer was dismantled and cleaned along with the skimmer pump, I cleaned the heater and the UV pump.
The hardest part was getting the encrusting feather dusters off there must be a million in my sump lol
Surprising the sump itself was pretty clean.
Oh well I'm good for 6 months.

How often do you guys tackle the sump.

I've cleaned mine once maybe 3 or 4 years ago. Only reason I cleaned it then was because I tried running without socks for a while and got so much crap in the chaeto I had to pull it and clean that chamber and add a new ball of chaeto. I have so many life forms in my fuge I hate to even harvest the chaeto.
