I’m about a month into the beginning of my first Pico build. I call it Project Pico, or PP for short.

My pp started with an Eshopps Deskmate tank. I found it in my lfs on a day off and couldn’t turn it down. I’ve been considering a Pico build for a while now and tearing down my 9gallon fresh water tank was the perfect motivator to get started.
I currently have an Innovative Marine Nuvo 40 that is mid rescape. Which provided some much needed bacteria. Following is my current setup on my PP.

Deskmate
AI Prime 16 HD
SICCE MicraPlus
Small Fluval heater (donated from my 9g freshwater tank)

Future plans.
Kraken lid
SICCE Jolly heater
Dank, much awesome coral

Current Livestock.
Orange storm clown
Small Conch
Hermit crab
Turbin snail

toadstool frag
Yuma
Ricordea
Frogspawn

Looks like a great start!

Do not get the Sicce Jolly heater. I had nothing but problems with it not hitting the correct temp. I have a 3g pico build with Bubble tips and inverts currently and had to replace it within the first few weeks. Following along on this thread to see how your journey goes.

Looks awesome! Excited to see the progression, I’m thinking of getting one started myself and was looking at the Deskmate setup as well. I really like the orange under glow
They’re cool tanks but after having 2, I would stick with 10+ gallons. So much easier!
