Hey everyone!

I've been reefing for only 3 months now, so still learning a ton, and I'll tell ya, I can't wait until I can sit down and actually enjoy my tank instead of obsessing over learning and trying to figure every single detail when things change. That's a side note though. :p

So I've started to notice this web like algae in strands, that are mostly clearish, that are coming off the bottom portion of my rock structures and along the band bed.

Is this something I need to worry about? A bacterial bloom? Vermetid snails? I'm not too sure, but I definitely notice it mostly where there's less flow. I'd be surprised they are vermetid snails due to the tanks age and not really sure where they could have come from, but anything is possible.

Here's some pics, kinda hard to get.

Yeah, I thought that could possibly be it as well, but most of the strands are clumpier than these, but I wasn't able to get a good enough pic of them. They aren't really uniform though like a lot of pics I've seen of hydroids.

I'll try and see if I can get better pics when I get home.

Next month will make a year for me and I’m still waiting to be able to just sit back and enjoy mine LOL. But I keep adding new Equipment in process of hooking up my Calcium Reactor now. I’m hoping it’s only half the fun getting there! Enjoy every step along the way.
