I have the Aquaforest Oceanguard fish tank running for about 2 months now, but I'm having a problem with my sump water raising for no reason at all to the point that will trigger my ato alarm. I do not know what else to do to keep the water stable in the sump. This is messing with my salinity in the tank and sometimes waking us up in the middle of the night. Thanks for any help.

So, your main tank level is going up and down like a fiddlers elbow also? You tried messing with the gate valve on the drain, sounds like it needs closing a tad.

Is it possible the skimmer is working one min and either not producing foam the next increasing the water level ?
No skimmer running

You think that the return pump is inconsistent? I mean what else could it be. It's fine for wks and then goes up, maybe it slow down... Idk. That's what happens when you try to get a cheap return pump I guess . I got a current reflux.. waste of money.

It’s normal to make the odd adjustment, here and there. I just keep an eye on how much is going down the overflow during rare inspection of the pipes, lol
