lots of questions

recently about 2 weeks ago lost my foxface who was about 2 months old, i noticed about 4 weeks in he got real thin, thought he was gonna be okay and then found hime stuck against my gyre

last week found my coral beauty of 5 years dead-and he seemed absolutely fine, wondering if he crept into where my blue tang sleeps at night and the tang got him, i have only seen the blue tang a little feisty at night over where he sleeps.

below are water parameters that tested…alkalinty a little low so i raised i dose

nitrates i always seem to run between 10-20…wondering if i should get rid of filter socks-but i always have had them for years….

all corals seem fine in tank beside an elegance coral that i added about 3 weeks ago that seems like it is going to die

would ammonia in water come from dead fish?

ph teated afterwards with digital tester and tested 8.1

aquaspin machine test results accurate?

I see nothing wrong with those numbers.
Elegance can just go “poof” like hello-fungia, so don’t use him as a judge if all others good.

I’m not seeing a correlation between your chemistry and unknown deaths, or at least, what has been tested for.

Nitrate is fine, leave that, but Alk must remain on point at all times, still, no correlation to deaths.
