this was much harder than i thought.
here was my best attempt. the highest shutter spead i could obtain with the built in flast was 1/250. the shot settings for this pic were: 1/250, f/4, ISO 500.
i tried taking some pics without the flash at higher shutter speeds, around 1/1000, but you need a TON of light. i used an external light source (halogen desk lamp), plus an ISO of 1600 and i still couldn't get enough light in the picture.
i guess thats why you need one of those $300 flash rings for "REAL" macro photography.
camera lens combo used was the Canon 40D and Sigma 150mm macro lens.
