I've seen tanks with montipora that has grown to and encrusted on the glass walls. I'm interested in doing something like that, except starting on the glass. This is a lower light tank so I'm think Leptoseris, Lithophyllon... wondering if I could do it with Chalice? Any experience? Suggestions? My frags are small for now so I think glue will hold until they grow off the plug to encrust themselves onto the glass.

I feel as the chalice could be an issue due to how aggressive it is even if it doesn’t have sweeper tentacles i’ve had a few corals accidentally touch one and it stung it immediately. I’ve seen leptoseris on the back of tanks before I would love to do it one day with a rainbow leptoseris or a JF Sun God leptoseris the people who did it suggested what you were thinking just to glue it back there and allow it to encrust
