Why can’t raw videos post or be be viewed and why do they have to be uploaded to another third party such as YouTube? Can this be changed?

Bandwidth is a huge issue here. It costs a TON of money to self host video. Why can’t raw videos post or be be viewed and why do they have to be uploaded to another third party such as YouTube? Can this be changed?
I learned the videos work on a computer but only a computer.Bandwidth is a huge issue here. It costs a TON of money to self host video.
It works on a computer I learned. It seem like all forums these days don’t have the option to upload videos. I just upload elsewhere and then post it here.
it make sense about the cost of bandwidth
I noticed that but I don’t want to post them on YouTube…so I avoid posting them on here as much as I want to…I just add a link it to a social media page I posted it on.If you want to post videos, posting links to YouTube videos seams to work well for most people across most platforms.
That’s strange! I just have problems with the videos which do post but only show up on a computer.I cant post a RAW picture here much less a video.
Post them as unlisted to YouTube which means only people with a link can view it. People on YouTube won’t be able to search it but people viewing your post can.I noticed that but I don’t want to post them on YouTube…so I avoid posting them on here as much as I want to…I just add a link it to a social media page I posted it on.
I could do that I know lol but I don’t! Maybe I will.Post them as unlisted to YouTube which means only people with a link can view it. People on YouTube won’t be able to search it but people viewing your post can.
Posting to YouTube is quick and easy (I do it through my phone).
Thanks! For those that don't like YouTube there are multiple sites that work great and provide better privacy. Here is list of the larger ones:
Bitchute
Bitchute is a video service that prioritizes creators and champions users' freedoms and privacy.www.bitchute.comRumble
Rumble is your rights management video platform. Host, distribute and monetize all your professional, social and viral video.rumble.com
I convert RAW pics to jpeg. Otherwise site says they are to large. That’s strange! I just have problems with the videos which do post but only show up on a computer.
Ha. Same.I take screenshots of my pics so they are not too big. Silly but it works.
I have found the easiest way to post a video is from my Facebook page. Faster then messing with YouTube.I noticed that but I don’t want to post them on YouTube…so I avoid posting them on here as much as I want to…I just add a link it to a social media page I posted it on.
