Is a vibration dampening pad needed under an acrylic sump?

I know about placing pads under pumps and skimmers to reduce vibration transfer that leads to noise.
I don’t have one. But I’m using a submersible DC pump that’s connected to some flex PVC as part of my plumbing setup

Generally speaking, you'll want to put a foam leveling mat under the acrylic sump anyways. Not critical, I know, but I found that it also aids with dampening vibration not countered by rubber feet / pads under pumps and such.

look into silicon plumbing between pump output and your plumbing McMaster-Carr is the best place for it if your plumbing is larger than BRS carries. Best thing I ever did to delete 100% of my vibration.

Thank you. I picked up a few feet of silicone tube from BRS for this exact reason. Glad to hear it is not just a marketing ploy.

Look up Classic Yoga Mat 1/8” (3mm) Thick on Amazon. This is the same material that I'm using
