i have bought a icecap 90 watt uv for my 220G fowler. here is its specs.
in the image below the key points are the red star, the stop sign and the boom.
1. star loaction denotes that i have 8.25" from the back of the tank to the wall.
2. the boom shows the chair rail along our wall which has a 2.5" wide ledge on top of it.
3. the boom denotes that- from the face of the chair rail to the back of the tank is 5.75"
may concern is space at the chair rail loaction.
advice on pumpling this in off my return line is appricated. i know a vertical install is best but that may not be an option. since its un clear what the deepth of the uv is. knowing the depth of the uv housing will determine if the stop sign loaction is even a problem or not. the uv housing is cleary 6" wide. thanks... PS.. WIFE SAID heck no TO CUTTING THE CHAIR RAIL. hahahaha. don thought of that one.
