I have been using some old dead frogspawn or hammer skeletons to mount zoa's to. The skeletons are nice and soft which makes it really easy to cut up with a dremel. It's like cutting through butter. I did have a really nice size hammer that died so I had a nice size Skelton to work with. I cut out some flat squares and just glued the zoa on that. Then it makes it nice and easy to frag later. I will take a pic tonight to show what it looks like.

I've used LPS skeletons to mount zoas on before too. There has been some speculation as to whether the calcium in the skeleton helps the corals grow faster, especially amongst the SPS guys.

i've been using old pieces of montipora caps every now and then to glue my zoas...they're flat and fairly easy to manage....you just got to use the thicker species of monti caps, as there are some common ones that are very thin and brittle.
