So I have a green bubble tip anemone that I’ve had for around 2 months now. It started in my 10 gallon and it looked pretty healthy. This 10 gallon however I don’t think was ready for an anemone and it struggled a bit due to the weak light I have on it, so I moved it to my 29 gallon with a nicrew 50W that already has some really healthy corals

But it never really got better, I tried feeding it some food with antibiotics in it but it just never perked back up and now it’s looking even worse

It hasn’t been eating even when I try really hard to get it to eat and I’m not entirely sure what to do

I’m pretty sure it isn’t the water parameters, I’ve got a ton of corals and I also got a new bubble tip anemone that is doing really good, it never really moved much after settling in a dark area with low flow

Here’s some pictures of my new anemone (orange) and the struggling anemone (green)

I’ve also heard a dying anemone can kill a tank, so I’m a little worried

how long has this new tank been going? what are you feeding it? are your chemical tests reading ok? you may need to get it some better proteins with how much color loss it has.

No it’s not a new tank, it’s been up for around a year and my levels are fine, nitrate is relatively high (~10) and I am trying to feed it krill but it won’t eat

you may try changing what you are feeding it. they can be picky so do a week of Mysis, then squid, krill, and silverside. trying different meaty foods you will eventually find one it prefers.

What about flow? Nems like flow. You don't need to blast them, but good, indirect flow will nudge them into moving into a position they're happy with

It may be because of the blue light, but it looks pretty bleached to me. Did it have this clear look to it when you bought it or did it have a richer green?

I’ve tried feeding a bit of mysis but I could try squid

it had stuck itself in a really low flow area but yesterday I moved the rock to angle it a bit more in some light flow

it was a bit more green but not by too much, however it’s been hiding away from the light and this light isn’t that powerful so I would be surprised if it was bleached

If nothing else works, you could try some harsh words. Maybe point a finger at it in a scolding fashion.
