Recently I got a tuxedo urchin to combat my hair algae outbreak and I was told by a friend of mine that their tuxedo doesn’t touch their hair algae and their pincushion eats it instead. Would I be better off returning it and getting a pincushion instead? its a 10 gallon tank and I plan on upgrading it in a few months or so.

I just recently added a tux urchin and it ate hair, green, and cyano algae.

I got 1 of each 1 year ago.
The pincushion is 2x as big as the tux now.
For your 10 gallon better off to keep him.
