Hello, I have a bit of a situation that I have never heard of. I had a very small anemone (about the size of a raisin) in my 40G reef tank. I’ve had it for about 5 months now. For the past couple days it has been hiding in the shade on the bottom ledge of a live rock due to a cyano outbreak, which is clearing up. The anemone has been closed, which I haven’t been worried about as it hasn’t lost color and doesn’t look unhealthy. Well this morning I woke up to one of my turbo snails, whose a decent size turbo, right in the exact spot my anemone was. I picked the turbo up and he wasn’t attached and was closed up. I set the turbo on a different rock and he is slowly opening up, but my anemone is no where to be found. I have checked every hole and crevice in my tank. I know the first thought would be that my anemone was dead, but it looked perfectly healthy yesterday evening. Is this even possible? All my other corals are doing great. I just don’t know what to think

Anemones will move on their own if they aren’t happy with their digs. Turbos are herbivorous in any case so it wouldn’t do anything to the nem. It may show up. I’ve had it happen a few times myself.

turbos aren't meat eaters but it's so small that it's likely in a crevice you missed or maybe got tossed into your overflow. It might show up again.
