So my Tunze Osmolator ATO setup worked flawlessly since purchasing in early '23. Early last week the pump noise reduced to a low volume whine with 1/10th the H2O output. Bench tested it in the sink, cleaned it, attempted to troubleshoot; all to no avail. The part #5000.020 replacement arrived yesterday with exactly the same symptoms after install. Anyone experienced this? Gotta be a power supply issue, but the wiring looks solid w/o water infiltration and the outlet seems fine too.

Many thanks!! Narrowed the issue down to what is likely a mother board short. Ended up ordering a full replacement setup on clearance sale. All in all, I'm happy with the product.

Sounds like you have it sorted but one recommendation i have is while its easier to just replace the head unit and run the sensor to your sump its a good idea to also run a new water line as well.
I updated mine last year and realized the black water return line was at least 50% blocked from biofilm accumulating over the past 5+ years. she rips now :)

^ this!

the only times i’ve seen the pumps fail is when

a. mixing kalk straight into ato

b. when the pumps have to work harder because there’s buildup in the water line to the sump, eventually burning them out if left unchecked

other than that, the 3155 is virtually bulletproof
(unless you get the motherboard wet)
i have no idea what their new ato is like,
but i can vouch for the tunze 3155 as i have 4 of them…
(don’t even really ever clean the sensors at all either)
