The 24v fuse light does not come on on the adapter (6300.240) for my Tunze 6205 stream pump. Do I need to get a whole new adapter or can I try with replacing the fuse first? Any instructions on how to replace the fuse and where to purchase a compatible fuse? @rvitko

This is not a 6300.240, it is a 6105.240. The jumper is not a fuse, it is a resistor to set voltage, does it not light up if it is not connected to a pump? If it does, this means that the pump is the problem, it uses too much power and the power supply shuts down as a safety. Generally a 6205 would be so old at this point it would be likely the pump could be dead, such a pump would be at least 12 years old and the expected service life is about 8 years. The power supply that replaced this is 6101.240. Changing the jumper is not likely to solve the problem and I am not sure if jumpers are even available, the light is behind the jumper and will light up even with no jumper.

Thanks for the quick reply! The light does not come on when I just plug the adapter in power, without connecting the pump.

Is it safe to assume the whole setup is going to the dumpster? It is such a pity as my even older stream 6100 is still functioning.

Hi Roger...slight update: I took the adapter (6105.240) from my other running pump and it was able to drive the 6205. So the pump still works. Do you have a link where I can just buy a new adapter?

This is the current equivalent, https://www.tunze.com/US/en/details/6101.240-24-vdc-power-supply-unit.html, it will work but is always 24V, no jumpers.

In general the old pumps 6100 last on average 10-12 years, the external driver used electrolytic capacitors which have a longer life span. To miniaturize it so this circuit board is inside the motor, we had to switch to TFC capacitors, these have a lifespan of 8-10 years in general, this is typically what results in the end of life for any DC pump, once the capacitors no longer hold a charge, the pump cannot start and usually these failures cause other components to fail.
