Things have been great with this for a while now. Last week it started beeping for no reason. Saturday I unplugged it, took sensor out of tank let it dry for a couple days. Put it back in today and still random beeping. I also did notice that it does NOT beep when the float on the sensor is moved up. Is there a way to hard reset the device?

Thanks for the help!

Something is wrong with the float, either a magnet is affecting it, it was assembled inverted so the switching direction is reversed, the entire assembly is upside down or the float is broken, a clear photo of the float and how it is mounted will be the best place to start.

Try with the magnets below the trim, the float looks correct, black ring should be at the top of the bobber, as best I can tell the black ring is not broken, it is a magnet and when broken you get 2 magnets. The only thing I can see is that with that trim overlap this can affect the magnetic field of the magnet holder, the two magnets should line up at the bottom and be flat on a pane of glass that is at least 3/16" thick. The other thing that could be a culprit is mixing up the magnets with another device or any other magnet within 4".

Reach out to customer service, even if it is used. Tunze is a great company and I bet you they would send you a new float. Unfortunately it sounds like your float switch was flawed.

Thanks for the advice! I did try to move magnets even farther below trim, I also moved them so they line up. It's strange, it's like just the overfill float isn't working. I plugged it back in and it filled to correct level and stopped, but about 5 mins later the beeping started again and took much water light on controller came on.
