Before I post this, let me say I think TSA has an awesome staff and is an overall amazing shop. I do also think in person you can get some really great corals, but I just wanted to show everyone here my last experience with a TSA live sale. Please think twice before buying a “cheap” coral from TSA: here’s what I purchased last sale vs what I received. I picked it up in store & the employee who brought me my corals told me one of them had to be ripped off another coral and that it was still “the best frag”. It was dead within 2 days. I regret all 3 purchases. I believe over filtered & edited pictures represent unethical business practices. But it’s the hobby we know, and is not exclusive to just TSA.
Not sure what happened with you, but I ordered numerous corals from them on the last live sale. Even my two freebies came in just like the picture

Hello. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with those three frags you picked up. From the looks of the photos the frags were spot on with how they look in your tank. Obviously when we shoot the photos we are using a professional camera and lens so the quality of the photos will be excellent. As far as filtering the photos we do not use any sort of filter, there are plenty of customers who have visited the farm and watched us do the photos and can attest that there are no filters. The lighting we shoot our photos under is in the product description. When customers receive the corals there is always a chance the colors may look different due to different lighting spectrum. As far as that last frag I am not sure why that employee could not find an appropriate replacement. If you know who you spoke with please pm. If a frag does not look good we will always either replace it with an equal or larger frag and if we do not have one then we will refund you. If you ever have issues in the future please ask for Ernesto when you are there and I will handle it personally.

Being completely honest, every Acro frag I’ve purchased from TSA last live sale has started to encrust and looks excellent. AND they were shipped. TSA is an amazing aqua farm and has some of the most ethical practices around. Ernesto is the man and always takes the time to speak with me and answer my questions.

I know when I buy these that there lighting and mine are completely different, just as when I buy from any vendor or LFS always looks different when you get in your home tank unless I have exact same lighting and color intensity. They are using almost pure blue spectrum on there light of choice as they state in pictures, I know these will show up color wise much different in my aquarium. But hey I know that going in due to experience I guess.

Exactly, I think experience is lacking in the op.
