What do you do with the gold from the fillings?

Fillings are mostly composite resin, or tooth colored. The silver ones are called amalgam and they’re a silver alloy, so composed of a variety of different metals including mercury. Gold foils haven’t been used in quite some time, I haven’t seen one in a couple years

Last insurance company would only pay for amalgam fillings but dentist refused to do them and just used resin and tried to charge me the difference afterwards without warning up front….
