Hi all,

I have had this clove polyp for over 10 weeks. It was doing great on its rock, but it fell off and got dragged around by a hermit crab. My belief, now that I have learned more about attached corals, is that I didn’t glue it down well to begin with.

I moved it down 2 inches between 2 rocks, hoping it being shielded would give it a chance to attach and be less of a target. It was not happy in this position - after 8 weeks it did not open.

I have now glued it to the top of the original rock where it thrived at first. This is a low light area, flow is expected to be low/medium. It’s been there about a week now but appearance hasn’t changed. Does it look alive to you or is it beyond hope?
