Anyone confirm if AFR powder and liquid both contain their elements K and also A as I read the power has both but the liquid only has K?

Liquid clearly states both A and K

As @rtparty noted above both. Details via their portal below. Powder is concentrated that the hobbyist mix which makes it cheaper to use in large systems compared to the liquid they sell. Kudo's to them for making this available to us in this form.

Question then, I was under the assumption that the A and K elements were sold separately because they couldn’t be mixed? Guess this isn’t the case then.

they can’t be. At least not on their own. I’d imagine either the concentration or other ions in AFR allow that mixture to take place. I’m chemically illiterate so I’ll just hope Randy comes in here to save the day

All For Reef (AFR) can be purchased in liquid form, powder form (more economical for larger systems / demand), and by separate components to make it on your own. This is what most of us did while Tropic Marin worked on the powder version.

Basically you are gathering the individual parts and mixing. You will see on step 5 and 6 that A and K+ are added. It isn't clear what it is you are wanting to do.

From the DIY All-For-Reef recipe thread:
Step 1: Gather Materials
-CarboCalcium Powder
-Bio-Magnesium
-Trace A-
-Trace K+
-100 ml Measuring Cup
-Kitchen Scale
-Magnetic Stirrer (Recommended, but not required)
Step 2: Measure out 750 ml RODI water.
-Room temp water ok, but warm water will help dissolve the powder.
Step 3: Slowly add 140g CarboCalcium powder, stir.
Step 4: Add 12g Bio-Magnesium powder, stir.
Step 5: Add 100 ml Pro-Trace A-
Step 6: Add 100 ml Pro-Trace K+
Step 7: Stir. It can take some time for the solution to be clear. Estimate ~20 mins. Solution will be a tint of blue, this is normal.

Note that All For Reef does not contain potassium. I personally have to dose this to keep it around 400-420ppm as I do not do water changes.

As I was under the assumption that the liquid form didn’t contain both enemy’s I was going to purchase the other to add, guess the shop I use needs to update their product description.

Thanks.

I’ll also add that there’s no use in the DIY formula anymore. TM released that recipe as a means to make AFR dosing more economical on higher demand systems but the AFR powder has made that recipe irrelevant, because the powder is much cheaper than even the DIY

That was mentioned to show A and K could be mixed and noted: This is what most of us did while Tropic Marin worked on the powder version.

I am wanting to convert from AFR to 2 part for the pH benefits. My goal would be to mix the A and K and Mag with the part 1 and part 2 if possible? trying to keep everything somewhat the same except looking to get a little pH boost.
