I do not know the exact reason but they made it pretty clear that 'Given the nature of the chemicals used in the Trident NP Reagents, they must be shipped upright and via ground shipping only.'.

If you are trying to purchase and re-ship you need to follow the international guidelines. There is no circumventing that nor would I recommend you try. It is obviously chemicals used to make up the reagent component.

You can always create a support ticket and ask them.

Sulfuric acid is a main component, they are sealed more completely than the original trident reagents

I had two spot appear on my hand after taking my gloves off after setting up the unit. I was very careful and donn/doff gloves daily in my job in medicine. I was surprised as they were way inside my gloves and i started to feel them before i took the gloves off and did not have any spills. Dumped some baking soda on the area a couple of times and rinsed well. No real pain but the epidermis was missing. Still healing. Must be pretty concentrated sulufuric acid. I was wearing eye protection and am thinking it should be a must.

It's already been said, but surely it's the acid. Here's the rest of the story.
