Yep i'm another one to succumb to the trident woes.
Overall i've been pretty happy with it, i've had it for a bit under 2 years and its been doing its job great until recently.

Im a DIYer like a lot of us here are.
So having to contact Neptune support for any little thing is just not in my DNA.

My issues started with a Test B fail. That was definitely because of a bad pinch valve.
Changed the valve and then no water sample error.
Took it apart and cleared any clogs. Wattle sample error is now gone.

When i took it apart i also cleaned the cuvette, while cleaning the cuvette the magnetic spinner fell out.
I did manage to find it and drop it back in. But now i'm noticing its not spinning.

I'm afraid this may have been the case for a while now without me knowing it.

Does anyone know exactly what makes the magnet spin? Is it the fan?
If it is, that would explain it because the fan is not starting.
And that leads me to my next question, does anyone know where i can get a replacement fan for this unit?

Below (or behind) the pill lies a magnet. It generates a rotating magnetic field which is what creates the pill to spin.

Thanks!
So from what i understood, its a magdrive fan. When the fan is powered up it charges the magdrive magnet, which in turn spins the mixer.
And since my fan is not powering up, ever, from what i've observed - neither is the mixer.

If there were simply a magnet under or behind the mixer, it would be moving at all times, making noise as well. I cant see how this is the case.

I'm only using logic, Im not a professional in magnetism and physics involved with it.

I did find the actual fan model. And ordered a replacement.

I just removed the original fan.
There are 2 tiny magnets which sit in a plastic retainer that goes on top of the fan. It spins when the fan is powered up, which in turn spins the magnet stirrer.

To get the fan out i had to remove the logo light.

By chance, does anyone have the exact length of the sample lines for A,B, and C reagents?
I am guessing the tubing needs to be exact lengths. Mine basically snapped in half when i was attempting to clean them.
