This is a new torch coral added to my tank about a month ago. The white flesh band on the coral receded just a little bit and then stopped receding. Now the band is turning brown. I read where it’s potentially due to the coral producing too much zooxanthelle and not able to feed them properly and could be fixed with higher light. Before I go down the rabbit hole I’d like y’all’s opinion as well….

It is trying to split a new head and I wondered if that has anything to do with it? Couldn’t find any solid evidence on if it does this during the split or not
