torch coral retracing

have a question for everyone I have a torch coral that is retracing and seems like as if the tentacles got blasted off in the night.

post this in the corals forum, everyone will just say welcome here. When you do please also post your current parameters, age of tank, what livestock…

will have to get a ICP test for params since its a 2 year old tank i got off someone and i have not tested for much other then nitrate nitrite ammonia and ph, not sure if thats enough to post on the forum. i also have 2 clown fish one percula Ocellaris and a purple dotty back

This happens when a few things occ...vated phosphate levels A few things to check

When corals good one day and bad the next, first thing I look for.

i have a feeling as if the flow was to much though throughout the night and it needed a break from the higher flow, i tried to keep it in similar flow to LFS and it was bouncing all over.

While chemistry issues are surprisingly infrequently the cause of individual coral issues, measuring alkalinity would be a good first step.

Put it in low flow area to recover. Looks a bit like polyp bail out.

seems like the polyps are extending again for sure some damage to some though with bad extension and both mouths are open in the middle with the lines showing
