Any ideas as to whether these marks are a concern or not? Its swimming normal, no heavy breathing, normal poop, eating like a champ (nori and meaty frozen).

He was QT’d with prazi and copper. Dots are to big for ich, nothing on the fins or gills.

Maybe bumped some rocks?

Maybe bumped a rock or got banged up by a tank mate? Do the scratches protrude at all? Could heal up on its own over a week or two, or could turn into a bacterial or fungal infection. I’d say feed, well, observe, and see if things improve. If not, or it gets worse and looks bacterial or fungal after a while, you may need to take him out and treat with appropriate medicine. I wouldn’t panic just yet. Certainly doesn’t look like a parasite of any kind to me, but always hard to tell from a photo.

I agree, my gut tells me he bumped a rock or maybe my foxface got a little pokey when they were both going for nori. No protrusions.

always happy to get opinions here to be safe though!

These are post injuries and is foxface intimidating it in any way?
These will and should heal on its own as long as there is no other damage forthcoming. Keep an eye on their interaction.
