My toadstool has been closed for a few days now. Is this anything I should be worried about? I know they can do this from time to time but how long until you would worry?
My 3 acan frags have also been closed up for over a month now. Most other things are doing great.
Waters params all seem normal aside from nitrate and phosphate being a little high

I've seen even longer than a week.

Agreed, my toadstools usually do this for a week then they have a shine on it before the shedding of the skin begins. I’ve noticed when the toadstools are stressed eg. moving them around or redirecting the flow, the process begins.

Thanks. While we're on the topic, does anyone know why acans would stay closed up for over a month. I had 4 acan frags in different areas of the tank and within about a weeks time they all closed up and have been for over a month now. I moved one Frag to my coral quarantine (the only one that wasn't glued down) and it opened back up.
This happened a couple weeks after adding a filefish but I havnt seen any sign of it picking at them..

Yes I couldn't figure out why mine closes sometimes ..I realized I tinker with redirecting flow at times..then it closes up..makes sense now ..

I added GFO and mine has closed up. Should I be worried? Or is it normal. I’ve had it in my tank for 2 month and haven’t seen I’d regress for more Than a day.

My phos has skyrocketed up to 0.5 and now it’s down to 0.1. I was thinking it was just change in parameters.
