Hey Guys, Need opinion from folks

I have large colonies of few acros, I have been hearing folks and according to them fragging is important part of keeping corals healthy. wanted to get the opinion from the experts here.

Few large colonies i have are

ARC fireworks
RRC pink cadillac

and few more.

My guess is due to commotion in wild reefs - i would think there is constant breaking and regenerating of corals (if you look at floor of reefs you will see dead frags littered) - also shading is not an issue there because what shades either dies or has to grow faster - unlike in our tank where we have limited space and everything must grow there.

Congrats - very nice colonies. Yes, you absolutely NEED to frag them for their own protection - you have been warned! I will DM you my address so you can send all frags my way. lol Ahem, j/k. I recommend directing more flow to them though.

I usually create frags for the second tank should I suffer from a total tank crash. it’s just a piece of insurance.
