This article is very informative. Thank you! Best information I have received yet on either platform.Welcome to R2R. I believe you posted on reddit too. I think the answer there is that these are blue clove polyps (BCP, or something similar). Hopefully, someone here on R2R can confirm.
There seems to be a treatment you can try:
Fenbendazole – eliminate invasive soft corals (Blue Cloves Polyps, Xenia, Aiptasia, Hydriods, etc.)
For those wanting to eliminate invasive soft corals from their tanks; I can report that I successfully eradicated Blue Clove Polyps and Xenia from my tank. I used the canine de-wormer medication Fe…maxdraco.wordpress.com
Otherwise, save the corals that haven't been affected (cutting or fragging) and keep them in the display. Remove the rock with the BCP and place them in a container with tank water, powerhead, and heater and leave dark for. a few months. This will kill all photosynthetic life, including the corals you wanted to keep unfortunately.
