I'm very new to this hobby, earlier today I spotted these tiny brown things on the rock. Anyone know what they could be? (Photo is very zoomed in - I'd say each one is about 1/2 centimeter long).

Looks like a vermetid snail (if I am looking at the right thing). Is the tube hard or soft? Do you stringy snot strands from time to time?
I'm talking about the brown, slightly transparent tubes (most prominent one being slightly bottom-right from center). Definetly not a vermatid snail.

Likely colonial hydroids... If they are, you want to remove ASAP!
Do you have any advice for how to remove if this is the case? I thought they might be hydroids from the research I did, but I couldn't find any images online of anything which looked exactly like what I've got.

Chisel or frag off that part of the rock.
