Just got a new tiger pistol and YWG. The YWG keeps heading over to the pistol shrimp but any time he’s about to go in the cave the pistol has made the pistol comes out and seems to be very aggressive is this normal behavior?

Yeah it's normal - sometimes they fuss at eachother a little bit.

I'm pretty sure I've had a YWG eat a candy cane pistol shrimp before

I've also watched a candy cane pistol shrimp snap at a Yasha goby - his natural underwater ally.

They should settle in together though. Tigers are bigger and more aggressive I think due to that size, but I've also seen pistols tolerate all kinds of fish - my pistol was digging away next to a pearly jawfish that had invaded its space. Just assumed it was a friendly I guess.
