Any idea? The service team that was maintaining my tank just kept burying it in my sand bed. After a month it came back with a vengeance. It covered pretty much all of the sand and crawled up the rock work. 207E08EF-AA75-44E2-8327-D4DCBAE8E543.jpeg D49FE9A0-A708-48EC-91DE-98BC7DA1707C.jpeg

Would make sense. It’s driving me nuts. Going to research. DinoX didn’t make a dent. I tried doctors Tim’s refresh and waste away. That didn’t help either. Is there a proven technique to remove them?

I’m using ro, dosing no POx, lanthiumcloride (for phosphate).

really disappointing given how much attention this tank gets.

UV addition worked for me; many, many threads about how to manage but after reading/researching for a while you'll find some common recommendations: usually non-zero nutrients; syphon/strain out; add UV sterilizer, some advocate h202 dosing, etc. Seems most reefers take a multi-pronged approach and get another chance to test their patience.

Good luck.

May be that your levels of nitrate and phosphate are too low and, if so, I would stop dosing
