Do a radion xr15w G4 instead.

The Kessil 360 only puts out 47 peak par? Or average 28? Theres no shortage of reefers on here that have great sps success with kessils, and that wouldn't be possible if those numbers were accurate.
I have two 360s, and the radions are great lights too, so I'm not playing favorites, that's just not accurate information at all. Either one will grow SPS. And I think you'd want three lights over your tank if you do go with 360s.

It's a chart produced by Ecotech & AI, no surprise it shows AI is amazing. The new BRS lighting series will be valuable to the conversation.

For Kessil, there are a few threads on the AP700, you would probably want two for 60" which is a good bit a money.

So you guys are trying to tell me that as far as what the kessils offer compared to ecotech and aqua illumination is comparable and similar? Forget the features and wifi capabilities. Kessil has the shimmer yes, makes corals pop nicely yes, intense, and popular but I don't think for a second that I would ever consider choosing kessil over a radion. Radion is significantly a better light, better spectrum, more par, forget that graph it may be biased coming from the source. But be that as it may I believe that radions and hydras do a much bettee job growing coral compared to kessils. Not knocking kessils down but it is what it is. You have blue and white leds, a single source of light. You have shadowing effects. I've had kessil I know. But do as you may. I think those who have hydras and radions will agree that's why so many people sell their kessils "wanting to try something different" for $399 for a kessil that sits at 90watts and xr15 for 95 watts eh not big of a difference but you get those other colors, you get the controllable features through reef link, not to mention better color blending through the new optic lenses. You won't be disappointed with neither lights. But truth be told those who have had both will surely agree.

There are plenty of threads on R2R where the OP can do his own research and come to a conclusion. There are lots of lights out there including many we haven't mentioned including Mitras, Reef bright, etc.

I find the Radion vs XYZ is like a Canon vs Nikon debate.

To the OPs question, he would need a few A360s and whether it's 3-5, I defer to others. The AP700 is the superior model from Kessil, and you have lots of choices if you are still researching.

It'll cost about the same for two AP700 then the four 360s you'll need for that size tank. You can probably do three but you'll have to be strategic about where you put SPS if any.

I'be got two AP700 on my Red Sea 525XL and it's so perfect!

JoeGanja you are like the guy who comes onto a Porsche car forum and tries to tell everyone that they should buy a Mustang instead because they have more horsepower.

Go back to your bong dude.

That's my last name first of all and second I was just trying to open options to him with a light for the same price that's comparable. I like porsches more than mustangs ;) so it's all good. You can hate.

Ok. You redeemed yourself with the Porsche thing. If that's really your last name, that's dope!

I have 2 60in. tanks. One has 2 ap700's and the other has one ap700 and two 360's. BRS used two ap700's on their 60in. display tank. Either light will grow any coral you want, but the ap700 is better. It produces a very powerful light and in fact if you buy one start out at around 30% intensity or you may burn or kill some corals. I did both.
The person who reference the Kessil par out put of 47 or there about does know what he talking about. Usually I would not care, but in this case it was just plain dumb.
If you want unbiased information about led lights go to BRS t.v. and they have a video on the testing of various led's.

What about get half Kessil (two A360WE, or one AP700), half Radion (two XR15w, or one XR30w), use them for a year and see which one you like better.

I agree with Joeganja take the comments and name calling somewhere else and lets talk reefing. Kessil makes a great product my corals are growing so much my 5 360's are starting to get shaded so may be time to add more at new angles or maybe an ap700 and angle the 360's
