I have been growing and harvesting copopods in a five gallon bucket for the past few months with no air stone agitating the surface. For the past few days,I’ve noticed a thin layer of oily stuff covering the entire surface, and I was wondering if copepods will be okay like that, or if I should change the water to get rid of that oily surface? See attached video.

Yea it was time to change the water. The oily surface didn’t seem to have affected the copepods at all. Still harvested a lot.
