Well my new 100gal has been filled and running for about a month and the uglies have began.
Used Fritz turbo start along with two chromis.
3 days ago I noticed brown algae so I added a small CUC.
Comprised of 10 nassarius snails, 10 astreas, 5 scarlet leg, 1 fighting conch, and two emerald crabs.
My theory is if I add too much I’ll put too much load on the system. Am I on the right track?

Sounds like you are off to a good start. Gradually add more types of snails over time. The different sizes and body shape allow them to target different areas of the tank. You should also consider getting one or two tuxedo urchins. Those do a great job of helping keep the rocks clean.
