I came home from work today and noticed a pair of Kraken Reef glasses sitting on my light. My wife surprised me with these. Cool! They're definitely fun to look through, however, I had an idea. Do they work with photos? Yep! For the most part anyway. I looked at several photos on the internet with too much blue and sure enough, you can see actual color. Some of the absolute worst, grainy pics weren't clear, but they did help.
So the next time someone asks, "what's wrong with xxxx" and show off their melted Smurf photo, try this out and you might just have a chance.

I prefer to educate the newbie that white lights are needed when asking for help. Hopefully then they only do it once. Don’t be an enabler! ;)

What if they have mobius and can’t connect though?

:)

The orange glasses are great but a Hoya yellow camera lens filter displays much more true to life colors. View attachment 2992968
True. I use the Lazy Lenses which have both yellow and orange. I can get very close to real life using those.
I'm not a fan of how these glasses make red look for example, but greens and gold's really pop! A fun thing to use on occasion. If my wife didn't buy them, I probably wouldn't have gotten them myself.

So we should get a pair of these to help ID the "too blue" hitchhikers and Acros? :zany-face:
After I posted I started to think... it probably is very dependent on what lighting is being used as to which filter would be best. But yes. I am still waiting for the "Make this coral look like real life" app.
