There is no doubt the V2 will grow sps but you do gain quite a bit with the new V3 having more functionality as far as spectrum goes. Here is the diode layout for the V3If I have two K7 Pro II - 90w lights on a 120g 4'x2'x2' tank. If I change to the 140w light, what will I notice the most? Or what will be better for the tank?
I currently run my lights around 80% for 4 hours a day. With the 140s, will it just be 50% for 4 hours a day? I have been told the 90w lights grow SPS just fine so I am trying to understand the value in upgrading?
That is correctThe light does not come with hanging kit or arm correct?
If you have the v2 bracket then all you will need is the v3 attachment cradle. We are getting those in soon. And no white version this timeSo you must buy new brackets or mounts? Also no white face?

This is a sample of a schedule that we are running on a test tank at the moment and it will give you a better understanding of what each channel can do with the new diode mix
Also the new v3 controller will control both the new and the older V2.
Let me know if you need anymore information
Yes you would as the power is 140watt along with the changes in the color of diodes that can be adjusted.Mixing new with old Will I notice a big difference? I wanna grab a couple give them a try
The singe screw still connects it to the main bracket but the bracket that joins to that screw has 4 holes. The light is a little bigger.Hello,
From the mounting bracket question, the bolt pattern is now 4 holes? Is the dimensions of the metal case the same? What are the improvements on the controller?
It pretty thick still. This is a better actual photo. The exploded schematic shows a very slim heat sink compared to the fairly big heat sink in the k7 pro II. Is this the case, and is this due to the use of copper/a more powerful fan?
thanks for answering questions
Many thanks- that gives me much more confidence! It pretty thick still. This is a better actual photo.
Yes absolutelyWould two of these be sufficient for a 4 foot long Aqueon 75 gallon mixed reef? Right now the tank is being lit by 4 AI Primes.
Hi, I've kept soft corals and a few LPS for a while but I really would like to venture into the world of SPS now. My current light is definitely not adequate for SPS so I'd like to get a good light like one of these since it was recommended by a couple members on this site. I live in Bangkok so it can be difficult to find high quality brands like this but after some searching I found one. Before I buy though, I'd like to know what improvements have been made to the previous model since I have a choice whether to buy the V2 or more expensive V3 model. Unfortunately I was unable to find much info online about it because it's so new.Yes you would as the power is 140watt along with the changes in the color of diodes that can be adjusted.

The controller now does not have a dial and is all push button not to mention setting it up is way easier.
yeah but its lights out time hereAre there any photos or videos of these lights on a tank yet?
yeah but its lights out time here
Nice. Whenever you get a chance, it would be great if you could post some pics or a video of them on your tank.yeah but its lights out time here
