She lives in Yokahama, so pretty reliable source.
Got socks, underwear, and MASKS. Never thought I'd be saying that.
hindsight is 20/20Not the same but I was stationed in Okinawa for 4 years No, I can't read that. However, I wish I was stationed there now because, well, what you know over 50 vs 19 is a lot different. Good news is I still have some incredible memories of the place. Bad news is that I didn't know what I had at the time vs. today...dangit all
This really helped me get my head around covid
You have a growing teenager...you'll at least need the masks to launder the socks and underwear!Got socks, underwear, and MASKS. Never thought I'd be saying that.
This is an excellent point.Let's be honest here. We all knew this could, and would happen at some point. Even historically, about every 100 years. As the world becomes a well travelled, 24/7 world, it is much more likely as well.
no emoji,,,heartfelt, well spoken!!Many talk about the virus’ mortality rate, and it is important, but there is something else that really concerns me. I know several people personally who have had the disease and lived. However, months later they still have heart or lung damage. No one can tell them for sure (as Lowell said it is too early), but this damage may be permanent.
Those I have spoken with with lingering pain and issues are in the age range of 35 to 65. None of these people had major medical conditions before, except the 65 year old did have hypertension. I am no doctor nor do I play one in this forum, but these are real people I know still in pain.
Another thing that concerns me is a growing speculation that immunity from this virus is more like the common cold. Short lived, perhaps only a month or two.
It is a terrible disease any way you slice it and I know I am personally being extremely safe for myself, and more so, for the people I love.
