The raffle prizes keep getting better this year and the photos below are just some of the things available. VIP & General Admission tickets are still available at the pre-order discount price on the website. https://www.carolinareefexperience.net/shop/

Also we will have a guest speaker at the show from Demeter Biosciences:

Guest Speaker
Karen O’Connell, PhD, Genetics

TOPIC – “Big nutrition in small packages: Briny treasures from hypersaline ecosystems”

Dr. O’Connell, founder of Demeter Biosciences will be discussing; harnessing the power of the Great Salt Lake for the home aquarium. “The brine shrimp and phytoplankton from high salt ecosystems have a unique and powerful role to play in supporting coral health and growth. Come learn how high quality feeds can enhance the coral immune system, promote longevity, and make colorful corals.”
    • Karen earned a PhD Mircobial Genetics at Duke University and she has completed two postdoctoral fellowships at North Carolina State University developing her hypersaline algae and brine shrimp growth systems. She brought some IP out of NCSU to start Demeter Biosciences.”
My interest is mainly sustainable aquatic nutrition systems for applications in food sustainability, production of valuable aquatic molecules (carotenoids, fatty acids, fish meal), and live feeds for the aquarium hobby.
