Hey all,

I've been growing a couple of these Tenuis pieces for about 5 months. They started off as virtually nothing and were part of a Mariculture piece. They're shaping up nicely and I'll provide Pic of each. Would like to know what you think it's turning into, you know, those fancy names haha.

I'll try to get a better Pic. Actually the pics aren't edited. They're straight from my phone. I took them under blues using an orange filter.

I'll post some 14k footage soon. Thanks.
Wow, what phone is that?
I need a new phone. My 20 note is almost 3 years old. Camera lens is cracked. When I take a picture it looks good on my phone but when I post it, it doesn't look good at all on here, it's all blurry. I figured it's the phone.

It's an S22 Ultra. You can hold down on the photo and it will remove the item and place it on a black background.

This is the Tenuis I posted. I took it from this photo I took. Just blues and orange filter. It takes a lot of practice to not be under water and take these. These are all above water.

In my opinion, since you got them off maricultured pieces they cannot turn into a fancy name piece. There will never be lineage for that. Now if you want to name it yourself, go for it. They look very nice, good job.

Jason Foxes Homewrecker was a Maricultured piece and well as every other coral he's ever named. Lol! This was the Maricultured piece I received back in December 2022.

They were dying and I Fragged them into 2 pieces and grew them from what you see here.

This is exactly right. The "fancy names" are about lineage. If you did not get it as a BigR Walt Disney, you should not call it that. If it was a Maricultured piece, then give it your own name or just call it a nice Tenuis. When someone purchases a coral with a name they are expecting that it is from the original named coral not from one that "looks like" the original named coral.

Yeah, many named corals linage started as a maricultured piece. However when yours start out as being maricultured, it will never ever become a JF Homewrecker or BigR Walt Disney, etc, etc.

Probably lots of fakes out there nowadays because of people guessing the look-a-like. Very sad because they also don’t have all those years in captivity which makes them more hardy.

Looks really nice.
If there is no name for it call it “Money maker” and charge $1000 per nub.
Regardless it looks nice and healthy in the picture especially if the picture is not tweaked.

There’s way too much of that today! It sucks!

Well let's get something straight. It's not easy to get a maricultured to color up so nicely. That coral is georgous no matter what you want to call it. Good job
He can call it anything he wants as long as it’s not a linaged name to somebody… people pay top dollar to say I have “Jason fox blah blah” why I don’t know but if you colored a wild one that looks same it’s still not foxes coral and shouldn’t fetch the same name

Thanks everyone.

No, don't misunderstand, I wasn't planning on calling it any of the current named pieces. I didn't care about that, I was just curious if which it most looked like. I've also thought the exact same of WD or Homewrecker, but mine has a little differences in it too.

For coloring up, I've been able to do that quite well. I had another maricultured colony come in that was pretty much dead. Here's pics of 4 to 5 months ago when I bought it and pics that I took just now. Oh, I also took more pics under normal spectrum leds today of the Tenuis, here they are too.

Tenuis, same as above, but not under blue fluorescent lighting. I took these in Pro mode using 6500k light setting. Again, I'm not a photographer and this still doesn't represent their true colors. It's very hard to get a phone shot of real colors.

Here is the Maricultured Acropora I was telling about above. It was almost 100% dead when I received it mid January 2023, this year . Third picture and others of it as of today.
