Well my new JBJ 30 rimless Nano came in today. I took down my 24 Gallon Nano. I got all the water in Totes and buckets. pumps circulating the water and heaters keeping them warm. All my live stock is in a 5 Gallon bucket, and hopefully will be ok till tomorrow night. I got a few pics taken tonight. Sorry for the lighting and glare.

This first pic is the tank in place. No water (even though it might look like it in this picture). And the light on.

Here is a pic with the light off.

I am up in the air on using the cover glasses. I will have to see. What do you people think about the covers?

If you keep any jumpers, then you may want that cover. Firefish and some wrasses love to check out your floor. You don't want your wrasse on the floor.

As far as looks, I like the open top.

The 24 I took down had no top. I have no jumpers right now but I do have a purple firefish in 14 Gal BioCube I am taking down next and not replacing. Maybe I'll keep him. Don't know which way to go. I'm going to get the sand, rock, and water in tomorrow and assess it then.

My opinion is glass tops get water vapor droplets and gets dirty quick,I would put a screen cover over it.

Dang, Matt!
How many thanks do you have, you obviously don't believe in Mayans.

I have toooo many tanks. I have a 120 Gallon tank. this 30 gallon nano. The new 7.5 Gallon pico. And a 15 Gallon Tall tank set up for Freshwater. I am getting rid of a 24 Gallon nano that just came down and I'm 2 weeks from taking down a 14 Gallon BioCube, that I will also be selling. And if the Mayans were so good at reading the future, how come their aren't any Mayans left?

I might try that. My only concern is, when you turn the pumps on the surface water percolates. Of course this is going to exacerbate the top getting dirty, but would also be a different kind of mes with a screen top.
