Hey guys

So we are a good few weeks into the 20 gallon and I have 6kg of live rock tank mates are Nasarrius snail, 2 red legged hermits and a turbo snail who is doing a great job on the algae clean up. The rock is covered in copepods but I noticed a weird tentacle earlier!

There was a small pellet of food and a tentacle (slim, white) reached out felt the food and pulled it into the rock…it was only around 1cm long from what I could see but now I’m terrified for the hermit crabs as they are so small!

Anyone have any ideas who the tentacle could belong to?

Really struggling to get a pic cause it’s so small and in the most awkward rock piece (typical) I’ve been sat for hours tryna get a vid but it’s so unclear! Definitely looks smooth and white

Could be a brittle or serpent starfish. They both tend to live in crevices and holes in live rock. And the only time you see them is when they reach out for some kind f food. Both are reef safe and are a excellent part of any CUC
