Abe's picture thread

and please try to ignore that the subject is a pest.
N-R July 2008 POTM submission "Anemones":

aipstasia.jpg

i really just want your honest opinion on the picture. glass anemones fascinate me which i why i let the ones in my fuge live. they grow in different morphs just like zoas and palys.

it is a little blurry because no tripod, and pumps were on with 1/15 shutter speed

f was at 2.8, because i did not want to take out the tripod and if shutter speed was any slower, it'd be horribly blurry.

let me know what you guys think.

ps if you wants... you can vote for me to on july 20

Honestly, it is not bad but I think I would take out the tripod, shoot it with the pumps off and then post it with a tighter crop. This version is pretty noisy but you can see what effect having the tighter crop will give.

Peacock? Thats cool. For some reason I didn't think they flew but looks like I was incorrect :)
they can fly very short distances. the park i go to every monring to run with my dogs has tons of them. actually, peacokcs are everywhere in my area, i get some around my house sometimes too.

latest: attempt at 3d pictures

get about a foot away from the screen, cross your eyes untill you see three images and try to focus on the middle image. :)
