TODAY'S TANK TALK PROMPT: Happy Thanksgiving! Share one thing (or person) you're thankful for in this reef hobby!
Thankful for the many individuals on this forum that have helped me and others with sound advice, rather than trying to start a debate or bash them that may not be as knowledgeable as them.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate and happy Thursday to those who do not.

I am extremely thankful for my LFS and Mr Frank of Frank's Tanks. As a newbie to the hobby, he has always been up for a conversation as well as showing me the ropes. He's also the inventor of F-Aiptasia... That's right, THAT Frank!!

Not sure if he will ever see this but THANK YOU MR FRANK!!

Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for my family in supporting me to start this reef hobby. I wasn't sure if I wanted to start reefing for the 1st time, but they gave me the confidence to try it.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here. All of us here on R2R make this hobby a more welcoming and familial place to be.

The entire Top Lids Team wants to thank Daniel@R2R (don't know how to tag you bro because of that pesky "@" in your name) for helping this giveaway be something that brings all of us together smoothly. As a vendor just starting to branch out into different avenues of meeting hobbyists, it was admittedly a bit daunting when the @avastteam proposed doing a giveaway together. Just like anything new, a bunch of questions came up, to which our team didn't have the answers to right away. As soon as Daniel stepped in he started handling everything as the very giving natured person he is, which helped us to focus back on what really matters...making the best covers in the world for you guys.

Thank you Daniel and the R2R Community! The entire hobby is lucky to have this forum.

Thank you and @AVAST Marine for doing the giveaway!

To tag Daniel, you have to type his full name @Daniel@R2R just like you did but add the @ before as well as the one in the middle.

I am thankful for the support from my wife. She goes to MANY local fish stores and waits while I learn and shop. She also does not give me grief for what I spend.

TANK TALK: If there was one thing/product you wish that Avast Marine/Top Lids made that they don't right now, what would it be and why?
This is hard question.... What would I want you guys to make and why?

There are so many amazing products on the market these days already but something that might be lacking is a truly reef safe powerhead mount. About a year and a half ago I was in the process of swapping out my 75 gallon to my 125. While the 125 was being prepped I got a massive GHA outbreak that I was unable to control no matter what I did. It wiped out most of my corals and I lost 3 fish during the outbreak. When I finally figured out what was causing it, the outbreak went away almost overnight. One of my magnets on a powerhead was rusting in the tank and leached metals into the water. Suction cups are mostly garbage these days and the magnets make me a little nervous after my previous experience.

I have a CADE 1200 Peninsula that I won last year in the partner drive.

The only thing that my tank is lacking is a nice lid. If I won the lid, I’d be happy to replace the clunky lid that I currently have.

I just installed a Plank auto feeder controlled by a GHL ProfiLux and the feeder just might be the best addition to my tank. I just might have to dual wield planks if I win. That’ll keep my fish guessing!

I’d like to see an inovative new kind of fish trap…something that hasn’t been done before. Why? Because I have a couple of bullies that I can’t catch!
