Within the pics, are the zoas that I got a while back in a group buy. They were supposed to be Candy Apples, but I think they are actually Eagle Eyes. Eddie, they are the ones you asked about, in the first pic. You can see that what was about 10-15 polyps has now grown into too many to count.

Joel, you will probably recognize the zoas I got from you. They're next to the bright candy cane, second pic. I got 5 polyps of the candy cane from Fishdoc before he moved, and now it's probably 12-15 polyps.

Can't yet get the rest to upload. Maybe in the next post.

Nice. Looks like your clownfish is being eaten, though. ;)

yeah, my clownfish like hosting hairy mushrooms. Where the mushrooms are close to each other, they wedge between and lay there pretty often.

I have 4 of these ocellaris clowns. Oddly, they haven't split off in pairs. Instead, I have one pair that seems to include THE dominant female. Then there is a male that usually is in his own cluster of mushrooms but seems to go in and out as a welcomed third member. The fourth appears to be a male that is not accepted by any of them. He hides in the back of the rocks somewhere and I don't see him often. He's gotten pale in color. I do make extra efforts to feed him when I see him.

I need to either get rid of the male that doesn't fit in, or the dominant female. I think getting rid of the male might be best because the shakeup of taking out the female might cause the rest to fight to establish who becomes dominant.

I also have a single maroon clown that stays back in the rocks. He appears to be very healthy, but just not willing to fight the others all the time. I see him at every feeding, but the others will not let him feed in front. I drop food behind the rocks for him. In time, as he outgrows the rest, he may become the aggressor.

Anybody want an ocellaris clown?

Hey Spenser

The clown seems to be doing great. He and the other clown are getting along good, well, as far as I can tell.

You are right the "candy apples" do not look like the picture.

The zoas are doing real good -- lots of growth too - always a good sign.

Hey thanks for sharing the pics...Actually the zoas next to the candy cane (2nd and 6th pic) kind of look like Candy Apple Reds!!! The first pic is definitely eagle eyes...nice colony though.

The zoas next to the candy canes, I got from Joel. I forget what he called them.

Thanks for the compliments. Things will hopefully begin to pick up a bit more as time goes on. Just seems that the only thing that grows fast for me is coralline algae, and it's everywhere!!
