Obviously we can't keep our parameters at one set point, so I was curious what ranges everyone considers to be acceptable in their tank before they need to intervene. For me, I shoot for the following ranges...

SG 1.024-1.206
pH 8.1-8.4
dKH 10-11.5
Calcium 350-450ppm
Phosphates 0 ppm
Nitrates 0-5 ppm
Magnesium 1200-1300 ppm

Paul, so far your levels are the ones that seem to be a lot higher than everyone else's except for the pH which is much lower. I'm guessing this is just because you're using your Ca reactor a lot, but do you notice a lot more growth out of your SPS keeping alk and Ca so high?

I am getting good growth. I had the issue with the HA and using Algaefix that shocked most of my corals and stressed them. They are starting to come back now and even the birdsnest that had rtn are showing all new growth tips. As far as MORE growth with my levels as compared to lower, I really can't tell because what I posted ended up being my "sweetspot" for my tank and that was when everything looked good and started to grow. I started my tank then had a temp issue with a defective coralife digital thermometer and lost most frags I had. I got other frags and then they started to take off with those numbers I have listed and then I got bryopsis in my tank, killed it off and in the process started a HA outbreak. I tried Algaefix that didn't work for me and stressed most of my coral and killed a couple. I am slowly winning the HA battle and starting to see color and growth out of my coral after doing huge water changes to get the Algaefix out of my system.

I also dose vodka in my system to keep my nitrates at zero.

what temp does everyone generally keep their tank at and about how much variance do you see in temp? we've been fluctuating a bit more than i'd like right now and i'd like to see what everyone keeps theirs at
