I'm bored of my tank. Im about a year into aquariums (fresh and marine) and I really love it but I need to update my tank.

Any suggestions for fish that I can add? Coral suggestions? Even ideas for rock formations?

Must be reef safe!

IMO, more rock, more coral, more fish, more inverts, and more flow! The tank still looks bare, lots of work to do there, why are you bored?

I thought cause my tank was only 30g I couldn't put much into it? I've researched more than I've bought and the fish & coral I want are either too big for the tank or too advanced.

Anything specific you'd add?

You can fit at least 5 small fish in there.... clownfish, gobies, blennies, basslets.... so many kinds of beautiful fish can fit in there.

Inverts like sexy shrimp, they like to be in groups so get like 7 or 8 of them, they all dance together, you'll never be bored watching those things. Bumble bee shrimps are cool, blood red shrimp. Pom pom crabs and porcelain crabs are reef safe.

Some super easy corals that will give depth and color and height and movement to your tank is sinularia leather, cesputulinaria, finger leathers, and gorgonians. Smaller corals for spots of color are zoa's and mushrooms. These are all super easy and can be maintained even without testing, just regular water changes will do.

Your tank is like a blank canvas to me, I agree its kind of boring to look at it the way it lol, have a blast and fill it up with color and movement! You do have a reef light right?
