In january this year, my 15g tank suddenly sprung a leak. It was just a slow drip at that time, but the silicon seal was broken. Just a matter of time until it fails completely. IMG-20230214-WA0000.jpeg

In the beginning i just wanted to get a spare one with the same size because i didn't want to get new equipment (my light is fixed to 60 cm), but after talking to a friend, we figured i could still increase the lenght and height. So the new size is now 60 cm x 35 cm x 40 cm. Around 84 l or 23 g.

I reused the life rock and sand. The sand was filtered and and flushed for 15 minutes with fresh water. These are the spaghetti worms i filtered out.

I've had serious O2 problems in my 15 g during nights so i was running an air stone then.
Right now i am trying out an oxidator running with H2O2.
No other issues with my tank except my sand being full of gunk and detrius. But this is not different to the 150g tank of my friend with skimmer and sump. His sand was also extremely dirty after running 6 years. I would consider this the "Old Tank Syndrome".
